13-year-old arrested for car theft and leading police on chase in Solvay

The suspect attempted to steal several vehicles but was unsuccessful in their attempts. One stolen vehicle from Syracuse was reported driving away, prompting Solvay Police to inform 911 and neighboring departments. The stolen vehicle was located outside the village, leading the driver to try and elude police, ultimately abandoning the vehicle in Syracuse. Following a brief pursuit, the suspect, identified as a 13-year-old, was apprehended by Solvay officers after a foot chase. The investigation is ongoing, and the minor was released to their grandmother pending formal charges.
