Gas prices have decreased across the region this week due to the calm overseas war zone and the delay in Atlantic storms, alleviating pressure on oil prices. Currently, Monday morning’s oil prices are below $80 per barrel, offering relief to drivers at the pump. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports a slight increase in gas demand, although the combination of mild gasoline demand, stable supply, and low oil expenses may lead to further declines in pump prices. Demand is expected to rise this week as travelers embark on the last long holiday weekend of the summer.
