Bridgeport man charged with sexually assaulting woman in Sullivan

SULLIVAN, N.Y. — A man from Bridgeport is facing three felony charges in connection with a sexual assault incident involving a woman. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a sexual assault in the Town of Sullivan on July 29 around 2:30 p.m. According to the authorities, an adult female victim was reportedly approached by a male suspect who forcefully tried to remove her bathing suit and then proceeded to touch her forcefully, causing her harm. The suspect was identified as Sean Quinn, 36, of Bridgeport and was arrested without any issues by deputies. Charges against Quinn include one count of aggravated sexual abuse in the second degree (Class C felony), one count of sexual abuse in the first degree (Class D felony), one count of assault in the second degree (Class D felony), one count of assault in the third degree (Class A misdemeanor), and one count of forcible touching (Class A misdemeanor). Quinn was taken to the Madison County Jail for arraignment in CAP Court where he was ordered to be held on a bail of $100,000 cash, $300,000 bond, or $750,000 partially secured bond. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the New York State Police and Madison County EMS.
