CNY to experience pleasant weekend weather followed by a significant warm up next week

In Syracuse, NY, the weekend will start with cool temperatures but will gradually return to normal by the end. Anticipate a significant warm-up next week, feeling more like mid-May rather than early April. Today, a coastal system will influence the weather, leading to partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers mainly in the afternoon to evening. Despite the chance of showers, there will also be periods of dry weather and some sunshine. Highs will reach the upper 40s, but a north breeze at 10-15mph will make it feel chillier, more like the upper 30s at times. Tonight, as clouds clear, it will become chilly with temperatures dropping to the lower 30s, remaining dry with lighter winds. Sunday will bring nicer weather with partly sunny skies, a dry day, and increasing sunshine by late afternoon. Temperatures will be milder in the lower 50s, close to average for this time of year. On Monday, a new weather system from the west will bring even warmer temperatures and some additional cloud cover, starting with morning sun followed by building high and mid-level clouds during the day. Despite some cloud cover, it will be dry and mild with highs in the lower 60s. Temperatures will continue to rise throughout the week, staying in the 60s and possibly nearing 70 degrees on Tuesday, which is significantly warmer than the usual lower 50s at this time of year.
