“CNYSPCA’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ pet adoption event runs for a week”

CNYSPCA in Syracuse, New York is hosting a week-long adoption event, offering the chance to find a special rescue pet while coinciding with the upcoming eclipse. The Total Eclipse of the Heart adoption event runs from April 1 to April 8, daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on Sunday. Director Troy Waffner of CNYSPCA encourages adopting a new furry friend during this unique event, where a variety of cats, dogs, and guinea pigs are available to be your companion.

No appointments or applications are needed to meet the animals at the shelter. As you enter each day, “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler will set the mood. The shelter currently houses around 90 dogs, 70 cats, two guinea pigs, and two rabbits, with more animals expected to come in for adoption.

The goal of these adoption events is to spotlight the animals so that potential adopters can get to know them better. Waffner emphasizes the importance of saving shelter animals when adopting, as it not only impacts the life of the pet adopted but also frees up space for other animals in need.

To participate, head over to CNYSPCA located at 5878 East Molloy Road, Syracuse, for the Total Eclipse of the Heart adoption event.
