Dave Portnoy from Barstool to donate proceeds from t-shirt sales to the family of Lt. Michael Hoosock

Dave Portnoy, the creator and proprietor of Barstool Sports, is offering an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office t-shirt for sale, with all net proceeds earmarked to support Lt. Michael Hoosock’s family. Portnoy has pledged to match 100% of the profits earned on Tuesday for Lt. Hoosock’s family. A Saratoga Springs, New York resident, Portnoy considers Upstate New York a second home, expressing his attachment to the region by stating, “Two more police officers killed in the line of duty, like two days ago in Syracuse, Upstate New York, which is basically a second home to me. With Saratoga being up there, I spent a lot of time up there.”

Acknowledging the sacrifices made by first responders, Portnoy emphasized, “You can’t underestimate or put enough respect when a first responder leaves their house. There’s not many jobs where they don’t know if they’re coming home. So again thank you for the sacrifice.” The t-shirt is available for purchase at the Barstool Store for $32.
