Eastwood Neighborhood Association recognizes local postal carrier’s outstanding service

The annual meeting of the Eastwood Neighborhood Association took place at the Palace Theatre in Syracuse on Tuesday, October 29. The event acknowledged various business strategies, community investments, and neighborhood-specific achievements. Among the recipients of accolades was postal carrier Mary Dunn-Blazey, who was presented with the Good Neighbor Award.

Expressing gratitude, Dunn-Blazey, who covers the neighborhood on her postal route, stated: “I am a postal carrier, so I get to walk through my neighborhood with my eyes and ears open. I get to meet a lot of great people and look out for them and they look out for me. That is what we are all supposed to do in this world.” The evening also saw the recognition of other individuals with awards. Noteworthy additions to the Syracuse neighborhood included a new community garden, splash pad, and skate park.
