Investigation underway by Syracuse police following shooting on Kirk Avenue; two individuals hospitalized with injuries

In Syracuse, New York, police responded to a Shot Spotter activation on Sunday, July 14 in the 400 block of Kirk Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers were informed that vehicles were leaving the scene. Shortly after, it was reported that two gunshot victims, a male in his 30s with an ankle wound and another male in his 20s with a shoulder graze, had arrived at Upstate University Hospital in a private vehicle. Both victims were in stable condition. During the investigation, officers found a projectile and a vehicle that seemed to have been hit by gunfire at the scene.
