Ithaca man apprehended for burglary following pursuit by homeowner

ITHACA, N.Y. — Following an incident on North Tioga Street, an Ithaca man was apprehended by the police after the homeowner of the allegedly burglarized property pursued him down the street.

On July 27, Ithaca Police were called to respond to a situation where a person was seen chasing another individual down the street.

Elliot Gagnon, a 29-year-old resident of Ithaca, was taken into custody by the authorities after investigations revealed that the homeowner of the property he had burglarized had chased him down the street in an attempt to catch the perpetrator. Gagnon faces charges of second-degree burglary and has been held at the Tompkins County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond or a $20,000 bond.
