List of Open and Closed Services on Good Friday in CNY

Friday, March 29 marks Good Friday, a day when Christian and Catholic churches worldwide remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Here is information on what will be open and closed on Good Friday this year:

Banks & Financial Services:
– Most banks will be open on Good Friday. However, U.S. stock markets will be closed in observance of the holiday, with trading scheduled to resume on Monday after Easter.

Prices of chocolate, eggs, and sugar tend to increase ahead of the Easter weekend.

Post Office & Shipping Services:
– The U.S. Post Office will maintain regular hours on Good Friday, as will UPS and FedEx according to their respective websites.

Schools:
– Many schools will be closed in observance of Good Friday.

Government & Legal Services:
– New York courts will be open on Good Friday. Syracuse City Hall will also remain open.
