Man from Syracuse admits to making numerous bomb threats due to boredom

A 21-year-old man in Syracuse, NY, was arrested for allegedly making bomb threats to several businesses in the area on Wednesday. The Syracuse Police reported that multiple bomb threats were made by a male caller to retail stores, a library, and a healthcare center. Detectives traced the calls back to a cell phone and identified the suspect as Avram Broome Jr., who was found at an address on Union Place. Upon his arrest, Broome confessed to making the threats, claiming he did it out of boredom. He was charged with four counts of making a terroristic threat, a felony offense.
