Rise Dispensary in East Syracuse held its grand opening on Friday, becoming Central New York’s newest licensed cannabis dispensary. A part of the national Rise Dispensaries chain with 83 locations in 14 states, the store aims to incorporate modern technology into the cannabis industry, offering features like electronic kiosks and online ordering to enhance accessibility.

Lincoln Campbell, the store’s commercial general manager, expressed excitement about the opening day, emphasizing the goal of expanding access throughout the state. In addition to retail services, Rise Dispensary East Syracuse offers medical marijuana cards and complimentary medical consultations, with a focus on providing products for medical patients. The staff is recognized for their expertise in product knowledge and patient education.

As part of the local community engagement, all profits from the grand opening event were donated to We Rise Above the Streets Recovery Outreach, a non-profit in Syracuse dedicated to addressing homelessness and reducing criminal activities. Rise Dispensaries as a whole has contributed over $3.5 million to various non-profits and community organizations in the areas where they operate.
