ONONDAGA, N.Y. — In Onondaga, a 21-year-old individual engaged in a brief standoff with New York State Police on Tuesday. Around 4:27 p.m. that day, the State Police responded to a residence on Everingham Road in the Town of Onondaga following a report of a domestic incident. Initial findings indicated that during a dispute with the victim, the suspect brandished a firearm. Subsequently, the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to come out. After a short standoff, involving negotiations with a crisis negotiator and Special Operations Response Team, the suspect voluntarily surrendered and was apprehended.

The individual, identified as 21-year-old Keidrick Z. Wilson of Syracuse, was charged with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. A criminal search warrant was executed at the residence by New York State Police, and a temporary ERPO (Extreme Risk Protection Order) was issued. Wilson was arrested, processed at State Police LaFayette, and then transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center for arraignment.
