Salina Town to begin construction on $7 million Community Center soon

In Mattydale, New York, the Town of Salina is set to begin the construction of a new Community Center later this month. The Town Board approved the initial project in August 2023, and construction bids were given the green light on Monday. A spokesperson from the Salina Town Supervisor’s Office mentioned that the new center will include a stage with a two-way opening, a teen center, and a L. Frank Baum Museum. Additionally, plans involve relocating the town’s Parks Department to the new building, with intentions to hold a farmer’s market and community events on-site. The center, costing around $7 million, will be situated on Brewerton Road.
