Syracuse, N.Y. – Over the weekend of July 20-21, at least seven individuals sustained injuries in a series of shootings that took place across various locations in Syracuse. According to reports by the Syracuse Police Department, incidents occurred on Sabine Street, Stone Court, Bradley Street, and Daisy Street, with two shootings reported on both Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday at 8:06 p.m., a shooting on Court Street resulted in injuries to three individuals at the James Geddes Housing complex. Responding to reports of multiple shots fired, the police found two female victims aged 16 and 27 with gunshot wounds to their legs. Both victims are currently in stable condition. Additionally, a 16-year-old male victim arrived at the hospital via private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the lower body and is also in stable condition.
Another shooting on Bradley Street on Sunday left a 16-year-old boy injured with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim is currently in stable condition. A number of spent shell casings were found near the scene on the 200 block of Bradley St.
On Saturday night, a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the hand arrived at Upstate University Hospital after being privately transported. The teenager is currently in stable condition. The original location of the shooting was identified as the 200 block of Sabine Street.
Earlier on Saturday, officers responded to reports of shots fired on the 100 block of Daisy Street, where a 20-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his lower leg. The victim is presently in stable condition.
Syracuse Police are actively investigating each of these shooting incidents, with no information yet released about the suspects involved.
