HEADLINE: Child in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Pickup Truck in Cicero, New York

A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition at Upstate Hospital in Cicero, New York, after being struck by a pickup truck on State Route 31 on Sunday, August 4. At approximately 5:38 p.m., State Police responded to the scene of the incident, where the preliminary investigation revealed that the boy, identified as Evan J. Wilson of Cicero, NY, had stepped into the lane of travel and was hit by a 2019 black GMC Sierra pickup truck being driven by a 63-year-old man from Cicero.

State Police were aided by the Cicero Fire Department, NAVAC ambulance, and Cicero Police Department at the scene. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
