Wayne County Drive-In Theater Reviving after Four Decades

Arcadia, N.Y. — The Rose City Drive-In movie theater in Wayne County, which closed in 1984, is making a comeback. The original 100-by-45-foot screen remains intact and is prepared to showcase blockbuster films once again. Situated on State Route 31 near the village of Newark, the drive-in has introduced a new concession stand, projector system, and restrooms. It is set to reopen on Friday, April 5 with a soft launch featuring a screening of “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” released earlier this month.
